Only Water and Air are more important than food when it comes to our physical health. We all eat, because we have to eat to live. However in today's culture we sometimes live to eat! When I was growing up we askd Mom "what's for dinner?" and we ate what was prepared for us. Today we ask our family "what sounds good?" What sounds good may be what my taste buds want, or what smells good, or what is easy, fast, Etc. But what my body "needs" should be what I eat.
So what does my body really need?
In an ideal situation my body needs high-quality, organic, minimally processed, nutrient dense, enzyme-rich, non-GMO, low glycemic food.
We need to eat protein, carbohydrates, fiber, good fats, and fruits and vegetables. We need to attempt to get three balanced meals a day with healthy snacks as needed.
Evaluate what your body really needs and eat accordingly. Remember eat what your body needs, not just what it wants!
